The Summer University of Turku is one of the 21 Summer Universities in Finland. The Summer Universities have over 20 years of experience in organising Finnish language and culture courses.

 

 

Application including name, address, e-mail address and information about possible earlier studies in Finnish should be sent to the Summer University of Turku by e-mail, Internet or an application form. 

 

After the deadline for application a letter will be sent to all those accepted to attend the course.  We will inform about the course venue and the accommodation alternatives. In the letter you will also find the bill on the enrolment fee.

In case you find that the course timetable is unsuitable for you, you can cancel your application by the latest application date. Otherwise the application is binding.

 

Please, note that  the Summer University do not award grants for either Finnish or international students and all the expenses must be covered by the student.

The Summer University Network in Finland is a unique educational structure, facilitating many features of modern lean organisation. Every year nearly 65000 students attend summer university courses which are open to everyone regardless of age or prior education. 

Summer Universities give an opportunity for both personal and professional development. They operate in tight contact and permanent collaboration with Finnish universities. Courses are open to everyone regardless of age or prior education. The language of instruction is mainly Finnish but some courses are taught in English. Among our non-finnish speaking students the most popular courses are on Finnish language and culture.
